Vibrante has been honored with the Napolitan Victory Award 2025 for Best NGO Campaign of the Year with “Free to Be”, the fundraising campaign by Fondo Semillas focused on strengthening women’s economic autonomy in Mexico.
At Vibrante, we were in charge of the creative strategy, concept development, and audiovisual production, in collaboration with the media agency Cuadrante and the internal communication and fundraising team at Fondo Semillas, with whom we have worked together on multiple projects for over a decade.

💡 The challenge: speaking about economic autonomy with new audiences
The challenge was to design a fundraising campaign capable of connecting with potential donors — people who support gender equality but do not necessarily identify with the communication codes of grassroots feminist activism.
✨ The creative concept: freedom as a universal value
The campaign’s creative axis revolved around freedom as a universal value, because economic autonomy is freedom — freedom to choose, to decide, and to live with dignity. Freedom to be whatever you want to be.
This approach allowed us to build bridges between women who give and women who fight for their autonomy, highlighting the strength of collectivity and the transformative power of dignified work, while avoiding narratives of victimization or charity.
🎬 Storytelling that inspires
We relied on storytelling as the best tool to mobilize empathy.
Through visuals and video spots, we shared real stories of women who, through collective organization, create economic alternatives to transform their communities.
- Floriberta, a rural worker from Veracruz, told how her biggest challenge was gaining the freedom to leave her home — a freedom she achieved by generating her own income.
- Elizabeth, mother of two young children, shared that her motivation was to show them — through her example — that you should never give up.
The audiovisual production was completed in record time: two days of filming (one in Veracruz and one in the State of Mexico), with the invaluable support of VIDA AC and Fundación Cauce Ciudadano.
The result was honest, moving pieces that inspired without victimizing, showing freedom as a collective achievement.
📈 The transmedia strategy and results
The campaign combined organic and paid actions, with a special focus on TikTok, Meta Ads, and national media outlets.
It included videos, graphic designs, email marketing, a landing page, cause-related products, raffles, telemarketing, and public relations.
Key results:
- Exceeded the original fundraising goal by 41%, reaching $712,748 MXN.
- 12.5 million impressions across media and social platforms.
- Over 71 press articles in top-tier and specialized media.
- TikTok performance multiplied by 34 compared to previous campaigns.
- 55% of donations came from organic posts — a milestone in Fondo Semillas’ history.
The campaign’s message was so powerful that it positioned economic justice as a cause worth donating to.
🏆 An award that recognizes communication with purpose
The Napolitan Victory Awards are presented by the Washington Academy of Political Arts and Sciences (WAPAS), an honorary society of professionals that recognizes excellence in political and social communication across Latin America and the United States, with campaigns and consultants from more than 30 countries participating.
The awards are named after Joseph Napolitan, the American consultant who pioneered modern political marketing, and have honored figures such as José Mujica, Epsy Campbell, and institutions like UN Women.
The 2025 Gala will take place on November 8 in Washington, D.C.
This is the fourth Napolitan Award won by the Vibrante team in our history — and the first one under our new branding, making us proud and motivated to continue working for the causes that matter.
